Recent performances have included diverse music from: Johnny Thompson, Red River Fiddlers, Darrell Scott, Fort Knox Jazz Band, Tommy Womack, Radio Daze, Brigid Kaelin, Parachute Musical, Curtis Burch, Little Country Giants, and many, many more.
Generally held on 2nd & 4th Saturdays June – September, at 7PM next to US Bank in downtown Scottsville.
Invasion of the Scarecrows - www.invasionofthescarecrows.com
All of Scottsville comes out to build unique scarecrow scenes in downtown Scottsville every year in the beginning of October. Along with the scarecrows, there are other events such as the Graveline Tour – a historical tour through the downtown Graveyard with local citizens playing the role of various people buried there, and the 50’s & 60’s on the Square with cruise-in, music, Halloween & autumn crafts, food, cakewalk, and stuff for the kids.
50’s & 60’s night in 2011 is scheduled for the 2nd Saturday in October (October 8th, starting at 4pm.)
Hometown Christmas and Christmas Parade
A hometown event most often featuring horse drawn carriage rides, strolling musicians, chili cook-off, home decorating contest, farmer’s corral, demonstrating artisans, business open houses, pictures with Santa, children’s play area, food court, and other activities.
