About Heart of Scottsville
Heart of Scottsville Inc. is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and nationally accredited Main Street America program dedicated to revitalizing historic downtown Scottsville, Kentucky.
Our mission is to honor Scottsville’s heritage while creating a thriving, welcoming downtown for future generations.
Heart of Scottsville began in 1999 as a committee of the Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce and became in independent nonprofit organization in 2002.
Today, we lead preservation-based economic development, support small businesses and property owners, coordinate community events, strengthen public-private partnerships, and invest in projects that make downtown more active, attractive, and economically resilient.

Our active programs and services include:
Small-business and merchant support
Historic preservation and downtown design guidance
First Friday street fair and community events
Youth leadership and volunteer engagement
Downtown marketing and visitor promotion
Placemaking and public-space improvements
Property-owner and entrepreneur support
Grant-funded community and economic-development projects
Heart of Scottsville also operates The Fieldstore, a nonprofit retail initiative that promotes locally made goods, rural Kentucky craftsmanship, and products connected to Scottsville’s identity.
